NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Equinix Inc. reported third-quarter net
income, including stock-based compensation expenses, of $4.1 million, or 12
cents a share, compared with a loss of $5.2 million, or 18 cents a share, in the
same period a year ago.
The mean estimate of analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial was for a loss
of 4 cents a share.
Revenue increased 13% to $103.8 million from last year's $91.8 million,
topping analyst forecasts of $101.4 million, amid a 13% rise in recurring
revenue and 14% growth in non-recurring revenue.
The Foster City, Calif. provider of data center and interconnection services
said it still expects 2007 revenue of $416 million to $417.5 million, and that
it expects 2008 revenue of $625 million to $640 million. Analysts had been
projecting 2007 revenue of $413.1 million and 2008 revenue of $610.9 million, on
average.
The stock closed Tuesday's regular session at $99.62.
