Energy Companies Down With Oil Prices -- Energy Roundup
April 15 2016 - 4:41PM
Dow Jones News
Shares of oil-and-gas companies fell alongside oil prices amid
trepidation about the long-awaited Organization of the Petroleum
Exporting Countries meeting in Doha. In another sign that lower oil
prices are squeezing the industry, Houston-based shale-oil producer
Goodrich Petroleum filed for bankruptcy. Another company feeling
the pinch, British offshore driller Ensco, said it would sell a
follow-on offering of 50 million shares to raise funds for general
corporate purposes. Ensco's projection of a quarterly revenue
decline wasn't as steep as investors had expected.
