SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. late
Monday said it expects 2008 earnings in the range of $2.10 and $2.15 a share.
The Chadds Fords, Pa.-based provider of pain management products expects
2008 net sales to rise to between $1.215 billion and $1.24 billion.
The mean estimates of analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial are for
earnings of $2.11 a share and revenue of $1.34 billion.
The company attributed the forecast in net sales growth to its Lidoderm,
Opana ER, Opana and Frova products. Endo said it no longer provides guidance on
individual product sales.
Endo expects its gross profit margin percentage for 2008 to include the
impact of the expected start of royalty payments to Penwest Pharmaceuticals Inc.
on net sales of Opana ER.
It sees selling, general and administrative expenses that are relatively
constant with 2007 levels.
Endo shares were trading down 27 cents at $6.55 at the closing bell.
