- Oct 3 (Reuters) - British oil & gas explorer EnCore Oil Plc said on Friday
it has encountered "significant" gas shows in the Breagh well in the North Sea.
Encore has a 15 pct stake in the field, located on the Southern North Sea
block 42/13, while operator Sterling Resources Ltd owns 45 pct. Faroe Petroleum
Plc and Stratic Energy Corp each hold a 10 percent stake.
Encore said initial analysis showed the presence of a 72 foot net gas
bearing interval at the 42/13-4 well.
The joint-venture partners have agreed to a testing program to further
evaluate the potential productivity at this part of the field, Encore added.
