LONDON (Thomson Financial) - EnCore Oil Plc. said energy enhancer jack-up
rig contracted by Star Energy Group Plc. is expected to mobilise this week to
drill the well on the Esmond field on the UK North Sea Block 43/13a.
Drilling operations are expected to be completed within 25 days once the
operations start, the company said.
Chief executive Alan Booth said: "The information provided from the pressure
test will help fully define the potential size and scope of the Esmond Gordon
gas storage project. Once defined, we will have greater certainty on the value."
Star Energy, the operator of the project, will bear the entire cost of
drilling of this well.
EnCore and Star Energy have a 50 per cent interest each in the project.
