OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Ementor ASA posted second quarter profits in line
with expectations, boosted by a continued high level of demand for IT services
in the Nordic region.
It remains bullish about its prospects.
For the second quarter, the IT company posted pretax profits of 104.5
million Norwegian crowns, up from 79.8 million last time, and in line with the
105 million consensus forecast of analysts polled by TDN Finans.
EBITDA came in at 153 million crowns, up from 114 million last time, and
slightly ahead of the 148 million consensus forecast.
The Nordic IT infrastructure market is expected to continue showing strong
growth, of about 4.7 percent in 2008 according to industry analyst IDC, and
Ementor said it is well positioned to "take full advantage of this market
potential".
"In addition, the Nordic and Baltic IT infrastructure markets are fragmented
and characterised by a large number of small players, which provides interesting
acquisition growth opportunities for the group," it said.
