AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Advances in power quality technology and research will be among the topics presented and discussed at the annual Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Power Quality Applications and Advanced Distribution Automation Joint Conference and Exhibition, held August 4 - 6, 2008, in Cleveland, Ohio. The theme of the international conference will be practical applications and challenges regarding power quality issues, along with advanced distribution automation technologies and systems as the electric industry moves toward implementation of a "smart grid."
