Electric Insurance Company, a Beverly, Massachusetts-based national
provider of auto, homeowners, condominium, and renters insurance, is
pleased to unveil their 2008 commitment of 2,000 employee volunteer
hours to the community through their CITE program.
Electric Insurance employee volunteers of CITE, or Community Involvement
Team of Electric Insurance, will be involved in activities
that help local charitable organizations. SeniorCare & the Beverly
Council on Aging are the company’s flagship
organizations for 2008. In addition, the American Red Cross, Beverly
Bootstraps, Beverly and Danvers Food Pantries, Endicott College
Scholarship Fund, The Food Project, Help for Abused Women/Children,
North Shore ARC, North Shore Fairy Godmothers, North Shore Medical
Center Cancer Walk, and the Salem Mission will be supported through
Electric Insurance’s CITE efforts. Beyond the
service performed by CITE, Electric Insurance Company also offers each
of its employees the opportunity to use 8 hours per year of paid
volunteer time for qualified community service projects in their local
communities.
In its 16th year, CITE involves employees of Electric Insurance, who not
only represent a diverse cross-section of the organization, but have
also been recommended by their managers as being key contributors to the
company’s business. “CITE
involves employees who exceed performance expectations in their role at
Electric Insurance, and have strong leadership and problem-solving
skills that can be put to good use at CITE projects. These employees
represent the essence of our core values, and are able to commit the
appropriate time to effectively make a difference with these charitable
organizations,” states Marc Meiches, president
and chief executive officer of Electric Insurance Company.
“We’ve been in
Massachusetts for 42 years writing auto and homeowners insurance for the
people in this area, and our CITE efforts further reflect our commitment
to the community in which we live and work.”
