NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Eddie Bauer Holdings Inc. late Thursday said
its first-quarter loss narrowed to $19.3 million, or 63 cents a share, from
$44.8 million, or $1.47, in the year-earlier period.
Revenue for the March-ended period fell 1.4% to $213.2 million from $213.9
million in the year-earlier period.
Same-store sales for the period rose 2.9% from the previous year's first
quarter.
Shares of Eddie Bauer closed the regular session at $4.20, up 4%.
