generic competition cutting into its sales of heartburn drug Protonix, and said
Tuesday it is on track to meet full-year projections.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Defense contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. said its
first-quarter earnings rose 6 percent as higher sales of space equipment,
missiles and other combat tools offset a dip in fighter jet sales.
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Semiconductor maker Cree Inc. said Tuesday its fiscal
third-quarter profit tumbled 73 percent compared with a year-ago period boosted
by a large one-time gain.
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Apparel maker VF Corp. on Tuesday said fiscal
first-quarter profit rose 8 percent, helped by sales of brands of its outdoor
apparel such as The North Face and Vans.
DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Chemicals company DuPont said Tuesday that profits
increased 26 percent in the first quarter, as strong sales of farming chemicals
and seeds and brisk business overseas offset a slowdown in the U.S. economy.
