Thursday profit doubled in the third quarter, helped by a tax-related gain.
HOUSTON (AP) -- Shares of Flotek Industries Inc. tumbled Thursday after the
oilfield services provider posted third-quarter results below Wall Street's
expectations amid pipeline constraints in the Rocky Mountains which led to sales

Inc. said Thursday it narrowed its loss in the third quarter, as stronger sales
from its cancer drug Velcade helped drive revenue.
COVINGTON, La. (AP) -- Hornbeck Offshore Services Inc.'s earnings rose in
the third quarter on a profitable acquisition and higher rates for its supply
vessels, the offshore oil service company said Thursday.
HOUSTON (AP) -- Rowan Companies Inc., which provides contract drilling
services for the oil industry, said Thursday that its third-quarter earnings
rose as revenue from its drilling and combined manufacturing operations
increased.
EDISON, N.J. (AP) -- Real estate investment trust Mack-Cali Realty Corp.
said Thursday its third-quarter results rose due to increasing base rents and a
slight increase in occupancy.
