CINCINNATI (AP) -- Consumer products maker Procter & Gamble Co., boosted by
strong sales of new Gillette razors, reported Friday that its profit for its
fourth quarter and the full year each rose 19 percent.
Other earnings:
Canadian coffee and doughnuts chain Tim Hortons Inc. on Friday said fiscal
second-quarter net income fell 12 percent, hurt by higher costs, including some
associated with frozen and refrigerated distribution.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Regional supermarket operator Ingles Markets Inc. on
Friday said fiscal third quarter profit rose 43 percent, as more customers
visited its stores and spent more on groceries.
DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- United Stationers Inc., a distributor of office and
other business products, said Friday second-quarter earnings fell from a year
ago, which included one-time gains, but sales rose slightly.
NEW YORK (AP) -- GFI Group Inc., a brokerage, market data and analytical
software provider for global cash and derivative markets, said Friday its
second-quarter earnings rose 35 percent from the year-ago quarter due to growth
in brokerage revenues.
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) -- Gas utility KeySpan Corp. said Friday its
second-quarter earnings rose 6 percent, driven by growth in the utility's gas
distribution segment and lower expenses.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Regional gas and electric utility operator Aquila
Inc. said Friday its second-quarter loss narrowed on lower operating costs.
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) -- National Fuel Gas Co. said its fiscal
third-quarter profit soared as the year-ago period was weighed down by charges.
