AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Luminex Corp., a maker of testing systems for
biotechnology companies, said Thursday fourth-quarter earnings rose 18-fold,
boosted by a legal settlement.
IRVINE, Calif. (AP) -- Business software company Epicor Software Corp. said
Thursday its fourth-quarter profit more than tripled, boosted by an income tax
benefit of $14 million and strong sales growth across all segments.
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (AP) -- Central Garden & Pet Co., which sells pet, lawn
and garden products, said Thursday its net loss widened in the first quarter
mainly because of a hefty goodwill impairment charge pegged to a decline in its
share price.
TEANECK, N.J. (AP) -- Technology and business outsourcing provider Cognizant
Technology Solutions Corp. said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit rose 39
percent on strong sales growth in Europe and elsewhere.
WAYNE, Pa. (AP) -- Human-resources provider Kenexa Corp. said Thursday its
fourth-quarter profit rose 15 percent on double-digit increases in both
subscription and professional-services revenue.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) -- Biotechnology company Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Inc.
said Thursday it swung to a fourth-quarter profit on higher revenue from its
partnership with Roche.
