DENVER (AP) -- Investor manager Janus Capital Group Inc. said Thursday its
first-quarter earnings rose 5 percent because of growth in investment-management
fees.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- Auto parts maker Tenneco Inc. said Thursday its
first-quarter profit jumped 20 percent, as profit improvements in Europe and
Asia offset the effects of lower North American automotive production.
PLEASANTON, Calif. (AP) -- Safeway Inc. said Thursday its first-quarter
profit rose 11 percent, beating analyst expectations on sales from its Lifestyle
