company, on Thursday said its first-quarter profit rose 23 percent, helped by
higher license revenue.
CALHOUN, Ga. (AP) -- Mohawk Industries Inc., a carpet and flooring
manufacturer, said Thursday first-quarter profit fell 28 percent, hurt by a weak
housing market.
MILPITAS, Calif. (AP) -- Flash memory chip maker SanDisk Corp. said Thursday
that it swung to a profit in its first quarter, helped by rising product sales
and license and royalty revenue.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Mattress maker Tempur Pedic International Inc. said
Thursday its first-quarter profit dropped by more than half as a slowing U.S.
economy hurt domestic sales.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Associated Banc-Corp.'s profit shrank 9 percent in
the first quarter as bad credit ate into the bank's loan portfolio, the company
