BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - The European Commission said the deadline for
its inquiry into Barclays Bank Plc.'s subsidiary Barclays Private Equity Ltd.'s
proposed acquisition of Computerlinks AG. and its various subsidiaries is set
for Aug. 27.
Computerlinks supplies hardware, software, and software updates, mainly in
the area of e-security, as well as related IT services.
No financial details were disclosed.
