PARIS--French electricity giant Electricite de France (EDF.FR) has penciled in 6.5 billion euros ($6.96 billion) of asset sales into its 2016 budget, French daily Les Echos reported on Wednesday.

EDF was not immediately reachable for comment.

The French newspaper notes that EDF has an option to sell its 49.9% stake in U.S. nuclear operator Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, co-owned by Exelon Corp., as well as half the capital of French electricity-transmission systems operator Reseau de Transport d'Electricite.
