Muhammad Yunus of the Grameen Bank (2006 Nobel Peace Prize Winner) will discuss Karma Capitalism, how cooperation and microcredit can eradicate poverty. The conference's scientific advisor is one of Brazil's top energy specialists, physicist Jose Goldemberg, professor and former president of the University of Sao Paulo. "In Brazil, renewable energy is still not discussed much, whereas nuclear and hydroelectric power are always controversial subjects. Cost is the problem with renewable energy in Brazil, as the technology is already there, but the barriers can be eliminated with large- scale production," said ECO POWER director Ricardo Bornhausen.
