BUDAPEST--The Hungarian arm of German utility giant E.ON SE
(EONGY) said Friday it will end its natural gas supply operations
for Hungarian households.
The company said it has requested that the Hungarian energy
authority withdraw its license to supply natural gas to
households.
The move doesn't affect E.ON's operations as a supplier of
electricity in Hungary and its natural gas supply to businesses, it
added.
The decision is part of the firm's decision last year to revamp
its strategic portfolio to focus on sustainable operations and
value-added services, it said.
