LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dragone® Cheese is proud to be named the Official Cheese of the 2015 St. Anthony's Feast in Boston. The Saint Anthony Society organizes the event, which National Geographic has called "The Feast of all Feasts," during the last weekend of August every year.

Dragone(R) Cheese - The Official Cheese of Saint Anthony's Feast, Boston, MA.

A sampling tent in the North End will showcase Dragone® Cheese. From August 28th - 30th attendees can taste Dragone's® family of cheeses as they enjoy the Feast's wonderful parades, classic Italian-American entertainment, strolling singers and beautiful decorations. Attendees are encouraged to stop by and sample Dragone® Cheese Lemon Ricotta Cookies, Dragone® Cheese Parmesan Bruchetta and Dragone® Cheese Fresh Mozzarella Caprese Sticks. Dragone® Cheese will also be hosting an activity tent with fun for the whole family, including face painting and a digital photo booth with Italian backdrops.

A recipe demonstration featuring Dragone® Cheese will take place on Saturday, August 29th at 6 p.m. in the Filippo Berio Culinary Pavilion.  A professional chef will demonstrate their featured recipe of the Feast, Mediterranean Linguine; Linguine, Chicken, Arugula and Kalamata Olives tossed in an olive oil garlic sauce, dolloped with savory Dragone® Ricotta Cheese, and topped with Dragone® shredded Parmesan Cheese.

Dragone® Cheese is a Boston original since 1899. Many in the New England area know it as the cheese they grew up with. Through sampling and recipe demonstrations at the Feast, Dragone® Cheese will introduce several new products, including:

  • Dragone® Fresh Mozzarella Cheese – a smooth, creamy texture that is perfect for salads, snacks and burgers
  • Dragone® Shredded Parmesan Cheese – excellent in breading for baked fish or chicken recipes
  • Dragone® Shredded 3-Cheese Italian (Parmesan, Asiago, & fresh Romano) – ideal for adding a cheesy burst of flavor to pastas or sauces
  • Dragone® Parmesan Cheese Wedge – great to snack on or hand grate on pasta dishes for a restaurant-quality meal
