(NYSE: D), today announced the sale of an aggregate of 2,800,000 shares of its common stock through a registered underwritten public offering to UBS Securities LLC, as the sole underwriter for this offering. The net proceeds from the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, to finance capital expenditures and to repay short term debt including commercial paper.  The offering is expected to close on May 27, 2015, subject to customary closing conditions.

The last reported sale price of the company's common stock on May 20, 2015 was $71.89 per share.
