has named Vice President Jeff Murphy
its top executive, effective April 1,
2015. Murphy succeeds Scott
Miller, who will become vice president-Electric Transmission
for Dominion Virginia Power in Richmond.
Murphy, a 29-year company veteran, will oversee all aspects of
Dominion East Ohio's natural gas distribution company, including
gathering, storage, distribution, and transmission assets, and
Dominion Hope, a local natural gas distribution company in
Clarksburg, W.Va. The company
promoted Murphy, previously general manager-Commercial Operations,
to vice president earlier this year.

Murphy joined the former East Ohio Gas in 1986 and has served in
a variety of positions in rates, corporate planning and corporate
financial analysis positions, becoming managing director-Commercial
Operations in 2008 and general manager-Commercial Operations in
August 2014. He serves on the boards
of the Greater Akron Chamber of
Commerce and Open-M, a community outreach ministry in south
Akron. He earned bachelor's and
master's degrees in economics from the University of Akron and received an executive
master of business administration degree from Baldwin Wallace College.

17-year Dominion veteran who previously served as Dominion's vice

Miller joined Dominion in 1997 as a financial analyst in
Corporate Planning & Analysis. In 1999, he was promoted to
senior financial analyst and became manager-Mergers &
Acquisitions in 2001. He was named director-Financial Analysis for
Dominion Generation in 2004, and was promoted to vice
president-Financial Management, Dominion Energy, in October 2007. He became vice president-Financial
Management, Dominion Virginia Power, in June
2009. He was named vice president – Budgeting, Business
Planning & Market Analysis in January
2011. He earned his bachelor's degree in business
administration from Ithaca College and
a master's degree in finance from Virginia
Commonwealth University.
