NEW YORK (AP) - The dollar edged up slightly against the euro late Thursday
night in New York. The 15-nation euro slipped to $1.5410 from $1.5444 it traded
in the late afternoon. The euro fell as low as $1.5395 in New York trading after
the Conference Board said that its index of leading economic indicators fell 0.3
percent last month to 135.0 -- less than the revised 0.4 percent drop in
January. That compared to $1.5613 the day before and was more than a nickel off
its all-time high of $1.5904 set Monday.
