Dollar Rises Ahead Of U.S. Jobless Claims

The Labor department's jobless claims for the week ended April
15 is due at 8.30 am ET Thursday. The consensus is for 242k, up
from 234k last week
Ahead of the data, the greenback rose against its major
rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.0747 against the euro, 109.06 against
the yen, 0.9958 against the franc and 1.2805 against the pound as
of 8:25 am ET.
