The U.S. leading index for October is slated for release by the Conference Board at 10.00 a.m. ET. Economists expect that the leading indicators advanced 0.4% for the month, after having increased 1.0% in September.
Also on tap will be the results of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve's manufacturing survey for November at 10.00 am ET. Economists expect the diffusion index of current activity to show a reading of 12.2 for the month.
The US dollar showed mixed trading against its major rivals ahead of the reports. While the greenback ticked lower against the franc and euro it held steady versus the yen. Currently, the dollar is worth 88.75 against the yen, 1.0181 against the franc and 1.4866 versus the euro.
