NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Discovery Laboratories Inc. Friday said it
received an approvable letter from the Food and Drug Administration for
Surfaxin, a drug for the prevention of respiratory distress syndrome in
premature infants.
Discovery Laboratories said the letter sets forth the remaining conditions
that must be satisfied to receive marketing approval for the drug.
The company said it is assessing the letter and will contact the FDA within
the next few days to discuss the actions and timing required for a complete
approval of Surfaxin.
Discovery shares closed at $2.90 on Thursday.
