APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
European Home Retail plc, the home shopping specialist announces that, in
accordance with the Preliminary Announcement issued on 6 July 2005, Michael
Johns has been appointed to the Board as non-executive director and Stephen
Roberts resigned from the Board at the Annual General Meeting which was held
today.
Michael Johns, aged 61, is Senior Partner at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson
Graham LLP and was previously non-executive director of Merchant Retail Group
plc. He qualified as a lawyer in 1968 and specialises in corporate finance.
Sir Clive Thompson, Chairman said: "I am very pleased to welcome Michael to the
Board as representative of the Johnson family interests. I am sure he will make
a substantial contribution."
The Group confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to
paragraph 9.6.11 to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules.
