BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Dillard's Inc. Thursday reported June
same-store sales fell 5%, compared with the mean estimate of analysts surveyed
by Thomson Reuters of a 3% decline.
Total sales for the five-week period slipped 4% to $593.3 million from
$620.7 million a year earlier.
The Little Rock, Ark.-based retailer said sales of juniors' and children's
apparel were "significantly below" the average company trend during the period.
Shares closed Wednesday at $9.81.
