NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - DexCom Inc. Friday said it received approval
from the Food and Drug Administration to calibrate Seven, its seven-day
continuous glucose monitoring system, using any FDA-cleared blood glucose meter.
With this approval, patients will be able to calibrate the system without
using a connection cable.
DexCom expects to launch this feature near the end of the first quarter of
2008 for new patients and during the second quarter of 2008 for existing
patients.
Shares of DexCom closed at $8.89 on Thursday.
