BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Dendreon Corp. Thursday reported a
first-quarter loss of $19.5 million, or 23 cents a share, narrower than its
year-earlier loss of $30.9 million, or 38 cents a share.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters was for a
first-quarter loss of 25 cents a share.
Revenue for the Seattle-based biotechnology company dropped 61% to $31,000
from $80,000 a year earlier. Analysts, on average, were expecting revenue of
$11,000.
Shares closed Wednesday at $5.16.
