LONDON (Thomson Financial) - British chilled dairy foods company Dairy Crest
Group Plc. said it is selling its Stilton and speciality cheese business based
at Hartington, Derbyshire, to Long Clawson Dairy Ltd. for total cash proceeds of
about 3.5 million pounds.
The deal will result in a loss on disposal of about 4.4 million pounds.
The transaction is conditional on the completion of employee consultation
and is expected to complete by the end of August 2008, the company said.
