OSLO (Thomson Financial) - DNO International ASA said its discovery at UK
license P1067 could contain between 4 and 36 million barrels of oil equivalent
after a thorough re-evaluation of its well data from the prospect.
"Based on a full re-evaluation of available log and core data, as well as
correlation with neighbouring wells, the well is considered to be a discovery of
a 20 metre oil column within the Brent Group," DNO said.
"This is now identified as the Mulle discovery, estimated to contain gross
recoverable reserves between 4 mmboe and 36 mmboe, with a mid case of 17 mmboe."
DNO has a 50 percent stake in the field, while Elixir Petroleum has 40
percent and Rocksource UK Ltd has the remaining 10 percent.
