TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - DNI Metals Inc., 'DNI', has received its final assay (head grade) results from its initial Phase 1 development program over its 100%-owned Vohitsara graphite project in Madagascar.  This phase was comprised of ground (i.e. EM & magnetic) geophysics over and close to the historical French mine workings, and the excavation of several trenches over selected targets within the same area.  Trenches extended from one (1) to three (3) meters below natural surface.

The defined mineralized zone (i.e. from trench 4 to the north to trench 5 in the south) covers a strike length of over 700 metres; averaging 300-400 metres width.  The average mineralization tenor ranged from 3 to 13.14% Cgr with overburden averaging less than one meter thickness.

Highlights from the program include:

Tr04 – Ridge to the North

8m averaging 6.75%
Including 1m @ 19.7% Cgr & 1m @ 11.70% Cgr

Tr02 – Hilltop – 86m AMSL:

21m averaging 3.41% Cgr:
Including 2m @ 6.95% Cgr & 3m @ 5.40% Cgr

Tr03 – Side-cut of local topographic high – 25m below peak and 66m AMSL:

21m averaging 13.14% Cgr;
Including 5m @ 18.48% Cgr (incl. 1m @ 25.3% Cgr) & 4m @ 13.75 Cgr)

Tr05 – Trench to the south:

10m averaging 3.021% Cgr;
Including 2m @ 4.35% Cgr and 2m @ 4.50%

The central-eastern region of Madagascar, where DNI's Vohitsara project is located Madagascar is known for its high-purity, large flake graphite.  The numerous historical deposits in the area are characterised by very coarse flake-size distribution and low levels of trace contaminants.  Indeed, a mere 50 kms to the south of DNI's Vohitsara Project, a listed public company is producing graphite concentrates of 94% purity from graphitic ores comprising an average of 70% large flake material.  These characteristics rank that project among some of the best large-flake deposits in the world.

The analysis of DNI's flake distribution from the recently-sampled trenches is currently being tested in the lab, with results expected shortly.

Two additional trenches were completed trenches 1 and 6, every assay showed amounts of graphite, but the overburden was thicker in these areas.

A full listing of assay results received is listed in the table following.

All representative samples were prepared and collected by or under supervision of DNI's Country Manager, Steven Goertz.  Mr. Goertz is a Geologist and is a Qualified Person under NI43-101 regulations. Mr. Goertz has approved this Press release.

The samples were processed at Process Research Ortech Inc. and Agat Laboratories, both located in Ontario, Canada.  Further processing is ongoing to determine particle size distribution and upgrade purity numbers and these results are expected shortly.

Graphitic carbon assays were performed using a modified infrared assay method. This method is preferable to other industry-accepted assay methods; inclusive of varying forms of Loss-on-Ignition (LOI) testing.

About DNI

DNI Metals Inc. is a graphite-focused company currently developing its flagship Vohitsara project in Madagascar.  The project has recently received a full mining permit and development of an NI43-101 compliant resource is underway.  Vohitsara is located 50km by paved road from the principal commercial port of Madagascar at Toamasina; with the main mineralization less than 2 km from this highway.

DNI also has a wholesale graphite trading division and has recently entered into an LOI to acquire a fully operational commercial laboratory; fully capable in analyzing all aspects of graphite ores.

DNI plans to provide its clients with a Secure, Reliable and Consistent source of Graphite.  DNI is supplying a Chinese alternative.
