Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On April 12, 2016, Albemarle Corporation (the “Company”) announced that Scott A. Tozier has returned from his temporary medical leave of absence and resumed his full duties as the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tozier’s temporary medical leave of absence was previously announced on January 26, 2016. Coincident with his return, Mr. Tozier has resumed his duties as the Company’s principal financial officer. Mr. Tozier will not be paid any additional consideration for serving as the Company’s principal financial officer.
