Cubic Global Defense chief technology officer to highlight enhanced training technologies for the military

Cubic Global Defense (CGD), a business unit of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), today announced that Amy Kruse, Ph.D., vice president and chief technology officer (CTO), will participate in a panel discussion on advances in human performance technology for the ever-changing warfare environment at Defense One’s Technology Summit (Tech Summit) held in Washington D.C. on June 10. Defense One’s inaugural Tech Summit will bring together Defense Secretary Ash Carter and some of the brightest minds in military and consumer technology to discuss the future of innovation and national security.

As CTO and former DARPA neuroscientist, Dr. Kruse will share insights into Cubic’s use of cutting-edge technologies, such as neuroscience and virtual/immersive game-based simulations in military training to optimize human performance, both individual and collective, for combat readiness.

“Cognitive neuroscience and the wide array of emerging neurotechnologies will play an important role in the future training environment. Warfighters are faced with an increasingly complex operational landscape that is constantly evolving,” said Dr. Kruse. “Cubic’s NextTraining strategy will integrate these technologies into our solutions and capabilities to better engage and train our warfighters for the challenging missions of today and tomorrow.”
