April 26 2016 - 4:47PM
Dow Jones News
Shares of retailers and other consumer services companies were
higher amid mixed economic data. The Conference Board's
consumer-confidence index fell to 94.2 in April from 96.1 in March.
The Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller Home Price Index rose 5.3%
in the 12 months ended in February, level with the change in the
previous month. Procter & Gamble declined as traders focused on
a slowdown in sales volume that was offset by increased prices for
its goods. Whirlpool reported revenue and profit declines for its
latest quarter as weakness abroad offset gains in the U.S.
