TACOMA, Wash., Feb. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Columbia Banking System, Inc. (NASDAQ:COLB) announced today that Melanie J. Dressel, President and Chief Executive Officer, will participate in the "Pacific Northwest Banks" panel discussion at the Sandler O'Neill & Partners, L.P. 2008 West Coast Financial Services Conference in San Francisco, California. The panel discussion will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, beginning at 11.15 a.m. PDT (2:15 p.m. EDT).
