SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico,
Feb. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Club
Curry, hosted by the Mark E. Curry Family Foundation, raised
$205,000 for San Jorge Children's
Foundation and its mission to make a difference in the lives of
children and families in need. The 2016 event, "Curry in
Wonderland," was held on Jan. 16 at
the El San Juan Resort and Casino.
"We are beyond thrilled to announce that 'Curry in Wonderland'
raised a total of $205,000 for this
well-deserving organization," said Mark
Curry, founder of the Mark E. Curry Family Foundation. "San
Jorge Children's Foundation has been the lifeline for so many
Puerto Rican families in need and it was truly an honor to raise
money on their behalf."
The Mark E. Curry Family Foundation's donation marks the largest
donation to San Jorge Children's Foundation to date. Since 2010,
Club Curry has raised over $435,000
for charities in Kansas City,
Las Vegas and Puerto Rico.
"This kind donation from the Mark E. Curry Family Foundation
will make a huge impact on the children and families we support,"
said Stephanie Moore, Executive
Director of San Jorge Children's Foundation. "We are truly grateful
for Mark and those who were involved in the success of 'Curry in
Wonderland.'"
Mr. Curry attributes a large part of this year's success to the
2016 sponsors and donors, noting that "the event would not have
been as successful without their generous contributions and
support."
