NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of apparel makers ended mostly lower Monday,
following reports of potential corporate deals -- including news that Washington
Mutual Inc. might get a $5 billion investment from private equity firms.
Here's how some apparel makers performed:
Jones Apparel Group, ended down 10 cents to $13.83.
Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. gave up 51 cents to $60.04.
VF Corp. lost 43 cents to $77.83.
Liz Claiborne Inc. shed 21 cents to $18.88.
