NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- We are
thrilled to announce that Christina
Goldschmidt, VP of Customer Experience and Design at Cake
& Arrow has been named the winner of a Gold
Stevie® Award in the Women Helping Women category in
the 14th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Christina was
also honored with a Bronze Stevie Award in the Category of Female
Executive of the Year.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world's top
honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the
organizations they run. All individuals and organizations
worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private,
for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2017 awards
received entries from 25 nations and territories.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the
awards were presented to winners on Friday night during a dinner
event attended by more than 500 people at the Marriott Marquis
Hotel in New York City. The event was broadcast via
Livestream.
More than 1,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and
in virtually every industry were submitted this year for
consideration in more than 90 categories, including Entrepreneur of
the Year, Executive of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of
the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year,
among others. Christina won Gold in the Women Helping Women
category for Business–Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations,
Business Services & Media and Bronze in the Female Executive of
the Year category for Business Services–11 to 2,500 employees.
The Gold Stevie Award for Women Helping Women recognizes
Christina's incredible efforts throughout the past year to empower
other women to succeed in the workplace. Not only is Christina a
mentor to other aspiring female UX and business leaders, she also
sits on the Design Thinking board at Rutgers
University, teaches UX courses to graduate students at NYU
Stern School of Business, and earlier this year founded The Archery
Club, a women's group that meets monthly to explore gender equality
issues in the workplace and provide women with opportunities for
growth and empowerment.
As a leader in my industry who has been inspired by and mentored
by strong women throughout my career, I know that I would not be
where I am today without their support. Giving back to other women
and empowering them to excel professionally is a way I can pay it
forward, and something I am deeply passionate about," said
Christina. "I am humbled and honored to win this award. I have the
opportunity to work with so many amazing women who I admire and
respect day in and day out. This award goes out to them."
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 170 executives
worldwide who participated in the judging process.
"The judges were so impressed with the accomplishments of all of
the Stevie Award-winning women and organizations. The 2017 Stevie
Awards for Women in Business received a record number of
nominations and had a record number of ceremony attendees," said
Michael Gallagher, founder and
president of the Stevie Awards. "We congratulate all of this year's
Grand, Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners for their
achievements."
