                         Zi Medical plc (the "Company")


                      Change in Accounting Reference Date


Further to the announcement released on 22 December 2006 concerning the proposed
change of the Company's accounting reference date from 31 December to 31 May,
the Board announces that due to the restrictions under the Companies Act section
225, the Company will be unable to effect this change.


The Company's accounting reference date will therefore remain 31 December and it
will publish its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2006 in
accordance with the timeframe set in the AIM rules.
