DENVER, Sept. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This afternoon
Colorado Department of Human Services learned that users are unable
to connect through any 800 numbers hosted by CenturyLink throughout
the nation. This issue does impact the Colorado Child Abuse and
Neglect Hotline (1-844-CO-4-KIDS). CenturyLink has acknowledged the
problem and is working to resolve it as quickly as
possible.
Our number one priority is the safety of the children of
Colorado. As always, anyone
witnessing a child in a life-threatening situation should call 911
immediately.
As CenturyLink works to correct this issue, CDHS encourages the
public to call the following local county human services phone
numbers to report all concerns for a child's safety and
well-being.
"We are aware there is a service outage impacting our customers
who use our toll-free services as well as our own inbound numbers,"

Corporate Communications for CenturyLink. "Efforts to restore
services continue. We will update customers as we progress and we
apologize for the inconvenience."
