STAMFORD, Conn., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centerplate, Inc., (AMEX:CVP)(TSX: CVP.un) today announced that Myles T. McGrane has been named Corporate Vice President - Facility Design and Management.
Mr. McGrane most recently was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, New York, a position he held since April 1995. During his tenure at the Javits Center, Mr. McGrane significantly improved the Center's profitability by introducing new on-site services and developing new sales strategies. In 2004 and 2006, Mr. McGrane was named one of the "Top 100 - Most Influential" people in the trade show industry by Trade Show Week Magazine. Previously, Mr. McGrane served as a Director of Operations for the Ogden Corporation and as Director of Plant Operations for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). During his six year military career, he served as a navy pilot. McGrane earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee.
