BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Celgene Corp. Tuesday reported positive results
from studies examining the use of Revlimid and Vidaza in several blood cancer
indications.
The Summit, N.J.-based drug manufacturer said Vidaza prolonged overall
survival for patients with high-risk myelodyplastic syndromes in a randomized
Phase III clinical trial.
Celgene also said that Revlimid plus dexamethasone significantly increased
the survival rates of patients with aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Revlimid
is used also to treat multiple myeloma patients.
Shares of Celgene Corp. closed Monday at $61.69.
