BEAVERTON, Ore., June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cascade Microtech (NASDAQ:CSCD), a worldwide leader in the precise electrical measurement of small structures, today announced the appointment of Dr. Tariq Alam as the director of worldwide sales and service for the Engineering Products Division.

Tariq Alam joined Cascade Microtech in 1999 as a senior applications engineer after receiving a doctorate in microwave engineering from the University of Leeds, UK. He later grew within the company to hold positions in product marketing and sales management and, in 2003, was selected to lead Asia-Pacific business development. Since that time, Dr. Alam has directed the opening and operations of Cascade Microtech Singapore in 2003 and the Cascade Microtech Taiwan and Shanghai facilities in 2006.
