Capital Link's 5th
Annual "Global Commodities, Energy & Freight; Linking
Derivatives & Physical Markets" Forum will take place
Tuesday,
September 17, 2013 at the
Metropolitan Club in New York City.
Entering its fifth year, this event remains the only forum of its kind dedicated to commodities,
energy, and freight. By focusing on these three strategic areas,
which are followed by the same investor and trader universe,
Capital Link is able to attract a significantly larger, target
audience of industry professionals. Last year's
attendance exceeded 500.
FORUM OVERVIEW This Forum features a
series of presentations and panels on topics of contemporary
interest as well as a review of the trends and developments in key
areas such as commodities (iron ore, steel, fertilizers, coal),
energy (crude oil and oil products) and the dry bulk, tanker and
container freight markets. The Forum discusses the trends and
developments in the physical markets of commodities, energy and
freight and then how these trends impact the derivatives activity
including dry bulk, tanker and container FFAs, trading and
clearing, credit and counterparty issues, legal issues, accounting
and auditing, the use of derivatives for trading and risk
management.. Special focus this year will be on the Dodd Frank
Regulatory reforms.
WHO WILL ATTEND The forum will bring
together senior decision makers such as: commodity and shipping
risk managers, financial analysts, risk advisors, commodity
traders, hedge fund managers, shipping fund investors, commercial
bankers, ship owners, CEOs, ship operators, ship managers,
charterers, shipbrokers, law firms, and financial media -- who are
keen on working together to capitalize on this booming global
derivatives market in addition to sharing their respective plans
for growth and future financing requirements.
