Canadian Dollar Climbs To 6-day High Against Greenback

The Canadian dollar continued to creep higher against the currencies of the U.S. and Japan in early deals Thursday as ECB President Mario Draghi reiterated the central bank's commitment to preserve the euro boosted risk-associated assets.

The Canadian dollar extended Asian session's uptrend against the greenback after a brief consolidation at the beginning of the London session, rising to a 6-day high of 1.0103 around 6:50 am ET. Against the yen, the loonie is presently trading at a 3-day high of 77.40.
