Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. Declares Regular Quarterly Dividend
JACKSON, Miss., May 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. today
announced its regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.0125 (one and one-quarter
cents) per share on its Common Stock. The dividend is payable June 1, 2004, to
shareholders of record on May 20, 2004. The current annualized dividend rate of
$0.05 represents a doubling of the cash payout in light of the two-for-one
stock split that was effective in April.
Cal-Maine is the largest producer and marketer of shell eggs in the United
States. In fiscal 2003, Cal-Maine sold 571 million dozen eggs, representing
about 13% of domestic shell egg consumption. Cal-Maine's total flock, which is
comprised of approximately 21 million layers and 5 million pullets and
