(Correcting to show in 1st para that flights are cancelled until midnight
tomorrow)
COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Copenhagen Airports AS said SAS AB has now cancelled all
flights leaving Copenhagen until midnight Wednesday due to a strike by the
airline's Danish pilots.
Earlier today, SAS it was cancelling its flights until 5.00 pm.
SAS is referring the strike to a labour court in Stockholm, where the
company is domiciled, a spokesman for the Scandinavian airline group said.
The spokesman added: "This very serious for our customers and we want the
labour court's ruling that the strike breaches the terms of the pay and
conditions agreement" between the airline and the pilots.
Aircraft operated by Cimber Air and SAS Sverige have not been cancelled and
SAS' intercontinental flights are not affected by the strike, Copenhagen Aiports
said.
