ST. PAUL, Minn., May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The award-winning C magazine, with its look at the people, places and products that make up the CHS system, has introduced its own mobile app. C recently released its new digital magazine app, which presents the magazine's content in a new way to both iPhone and Android users.

Published six times a year, C brings the broad world of CHS resources and solutions to its readers. Its mobile app complements the printed publication with additional audiovisual material relating to stories featured in each issue. Readers will find video interviews, audio content, charts and slideshows featuring additional photos not found in the printed magazine. Tools will allow readers to share stories and photos via email and instant message, and through social media apps such as Twitter and LinkedIn.

"This is an exciting new development for CHS and the magazine," said Greg Lamp, C magazine editor-in-chief. "This new app combines the extra video, photos and other useful and engaging content that is already being created all into a single multimedia digital package. Each of us carries our mobile phones nearly everywhere we go. Now C magazine, and its extra, rich content, will only be a single touch away."

Along with the stories found in the March/April print publication, the first C magazine app issue also includes:

  • A video interview and photo slideshow with the Traun family, about how their Wisconsin maple syrup production has gone high tech.
  • A preview of the new CHS Relevance television commercial, which recently began airing nationwide.
  • An interview with Gary Anderson, senior vice president, CHS Grain Marketing, about CHS and the company's new position on unapproved seed traits.
  • Video extras to accompany the cover story on leading food trends to watch, including a link to a full hour-long presentation by the industry experts featured in the story.

The app is available for free download at Google Play for Android users here, and at Apple's App store for iPhone users. Watch for the May/June issue to be published soon.
